この本の写真は、西日本を撮影したものです。行った先の店や風景を撮るのですが、今では建物も無くなり更地になってしまっている所もあり、少し寂しい気もします。知らない町を歩いていても、何処か懐かしいと感じるのは自分だけでしょうか。山陰生まれの僕は、あの高湿度や天気の悪い山陰の気候に飽きて、どこか明るい光を求めて写真を撮りに行っていたのかもしれません。

The photographs in this book were taken in western Japan. I photograph the stores and scenery of the places I visit, but I feel a little sad because some of the buildings are now gone and the land has been cleared. Is it just me who feels nostalgic even when walking through an unfamiliar town? I was born and raised in the San-in region, and perhaps I got tired of the high humidity and bad weather of the San-in region, and went there to take pictures in search of some bright light.
