Mimasaka is a mountain city in northeastern Okayama Prefecture, bordering Hyogo and Tottori Prefectures. (Abbreviation) From 2012 to 2018, I have been driving along the roads around the mountains, capturing the scenery of the neighborhoods with my camera. Some are memorable places that I often visited, while others have completely changed, as if I was witnessing them for the first time. The days I spent photographing these landscapes were a mixture of nostalgia and freshness, as if an old map in my mind was being updated.
